Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant has completely lost off-site power, and backup diesel generators have been activated to supply electricity.

It is reported that the 330 kV Ferrosplavnaya-1 high-voltage transmission line was automatically cut off on the evening of June 10, while the 750 kV main transmission line Dniprovskaya has been disconnected since March 24 due to damage.

The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant is located near the city of Enerhodar on the left bank of the Dnieper River. It is equipped with six generating units each with a capacity of 1,000 megawatts, making it the largest nuclear power plant in Europe in terms of both the number of units and installed capacity.

All generating units of the plant ceased operation in September 2022. In October 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an executive order listing the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant as an asset of the Russian Federation. Since April 2024, all units at the plant have been in a cold shutdown state.
